The biggest need for me was constructive criticism. Ash was clear, extremely helpful, and he told me the truth. Janet ~ I wanted to learn Engrosser's properly as a beginner, and believed that Engrosser’s script would set my foundation in calligraphy. Saw Ash’s live sessions on IG and decided I wanted to learn from him! I can say that it was the best decision I made in my calligraphy journey! Not only Ash is full of knowledge about the scripts, he is also an amazing teacher with great instructions (tons of light bulb moments for me!) and patience to help me understand every details! Ash was very flexible with class schedule even with time difference! These one-on-one classes are highly recommended! Thank you so much Ash!!! ❤️

I wasn't happy with the way my copperplate was looking and felt that it needed to be refined. Ash is helping me focus on the letterform basics and technical aspects of engrossers script and this is helping me understand what I was doing wrong and what I need to do to improve. He works around your schedule and is a great teacher!

I absolutely loved the 10 hour one on one online workshop Ash offers! I was so happy with the content and flexibility of scheduling. I really enjoyed how Ash engages his student and trains them to have a critical eye to help them improve on their practice. Definitely a must have skill! It is an eye-opener to learn from Ash, from the very first lesson of the workshop till the last! There is no one moment where you will feel bored. His instructions are clear and concise and his feedbacks after lessons are valuable. My writings have definitely shown improvement no matter how minor they may be.
